About Gateway Church of Christ
Gateway Church of Christ in Homestead began in August 1999 after the congregation moved from the Westwood Lake Church of Christ to its current location. Frank Matherly served as the preacher when the church began, and John Weetman and Frank Matherly served as elders. The congregation has been involved in local outreach including Vacation Bible School, meals for first responders, school supplies collection, missionary support, and a food pantry. It also partners with the University of Miami Pediatric Mobile to serve children in the community.
