About The Life Center Church
The Life Center Church is a Baptist congregation in Maitland with a contemporary worship style and roots dating to 1957, when it was founded as The Mt. Carmel Institutional Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. J. A. Johnson. Bishop Ronald F. Kimble, Sr. became the official pastor in October 1977, and the church later took the name The Life Center Church. Under Bishop Kimble’s leadership, additional churches were established in Ocala, Titusville, and Monrovia, Liberia. The church offers small groups, and its related school, The Life Academy, was established in 1982 and serves students in K4 through 9th grade.
