About St Simeon Serbian Orthodox Cathedral
St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Cathedral is a traditional Serbian Orthodox parish in Miami with roots in South Florida dating to 1978. The mission was first served in private homes, with Prota Petar Milošević named as the first priest, and later purchased property as the community grew. By the blessing of Bishop Hristofor, the parish became St. Simeon the Myrrh-streaming, also known as Sveti Simeon Mirotočivi. Petar Petrović served the parish from 1984 to 1991. The church has also supported parish formation through Sunday school, along with children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups.
