About Lutheran Services
Lutheran Services Florida is a faith-based organization rooted in the Lutheran tradition, serving the Oakland Park community and beyond across 23 counties in Florida. Guided by their mission to bring God's healing, hope, and help to people in need in the name of Jesus Christ, LSF operates through three core programs—Head Start, Family Focus, and Health Systems—that strengthen families and foster resilience. The organization has made a substantial impact, serving nearly 20,000 children and families through community counseling, foster care and adoption, and family support programming, while also managing mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment for hundreds of thousands of individuals. LSF actively welcomes volunteers and donors who wish to support their work with at-risk youth, families in crisis, refugees, and senior citizens throughout Florida.
