Faith Lutheran Church of Punta Gorda is a Lutheran congregation committed to the faithful proclamation of God's Word and the Gospel of Salvation. The church welcomes visitors as family in Christ Jesus, regardless of where they are in their faith journey. Faith Lutheran offers two worship formats to serve different preferences: a Saturday evening Praise and Worship service featuring light-contemporary music led by a praise team, and a Sunday morning Traditional Worship service rooted in historic Lutheran liturgy. The church emphasizes that God's Word speaks powerfully to His people today, and invites the community to grow in faith through worship, study of Scripture, and service to others.
First-Time Visitor Info for Faith Lutheran Church
Dress Code: Members choose to dress up or wear casual clothes, as long as it is respectful to God and not distracting to others. Service Format: Saturday Praise and Worship at 5:00 PM features light-contemporary music with spoken liturgy; Sunday Traditional Worship at 9:30 AM uses responsive readings, hymns, and a sermon based on Scripture. The Lord's Supper is offered each weekend. Children ages K–5th grade are invited to Children's Church during the 9:30 AM service. Visitor Tips: Ample parking is available with a covered portico for drop-off, and greeters will welcome you at the front doors and provide a worship bulletin. As a guest, you are not expected to give an offering unless you choose to. Online worship services are also available for those unable to attend in person.
