About Holy

Holy Apostles is the oldest beachside church on the barrier island, with a remarkable history dating to 1957 as a mission church. The building itself was famously floated up the Indian River Intracoastal Waterway on a barge in 1959, navigating under six bridges before being positioned in Satellite Beach. The church features beautiful stained glass windows created by Carleton Emery, a charter member, including a striking triptych behind the altar. Holy Apostles became a full parish in 1985 and serves the Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, and surrounding Brevard County communities. The congregation gathers for weekly worship in the Episcopal tradition and maintains active ministries including women's and men's groups, an altar guild, and music ministry.
