About Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice, Florida is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) located at 790 S. Tamiami Trail. The church welcomes all visitors and members of the community to share in Christ's grace and love, emphasizing that there is a place for everyone regardless of where they are in their faith journey. Emmanuel offers three weekend worship services—Saturday at 5:00pm and Sunday services at 8:30am and 10:45am—each featuring Holy Communion and a sermon. The Saturday and Sunday 8:30am services maintain a more formal Lutheran tradition with classic hymns and traditional robes, while the 10:45am service is more casual with contemporary music led by the Praise Band. Between Sunday services, the church offers faith formation opportunities including Sunday School for kindergarten through fifth grade, confirmation and youth group for grades six through twelve, and an adult forum. The church is led by Lead Pastor William A. Kittinger Jr., Associate Pastor Dan Weichart, and Visitation Pastor David Hess, and maintains an active staff and church council dedicated to pastoral care and community ministry.

Service Format: Weekend services are approximately 60 minutes long and include the Lutheran order of service, a sermon, and Holy Communion. The Saturday 5:00pm and Sunday 8:30am services feature classic hymns with organ, piano, choir, and bells; the Sunday 10:45am service includes more modern music led by the Praise Band. Visitor Tips: Free parking is available around the church campus and across Plaza Mayor at the church office. All who profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are welcome to receive Holy Communion, regardless of Lutheran affiliation. Sunday morning services at 8:30am and 10:45am are livestreamed on YouTube, and archived versions are available if you miss a live service.
