About Acworth United Methodist Church
Acworth United Methodist Church in Acworth, Georgia is a mission-oriented congregation dedicated to shining the light of Jesus in their community through worship, spiritual growth, and service. The church welcomes people from every walk of life into a compassionate community where members worship together, connect in small groups, serve others, and grow in their faith. With two distinct Sunday morning worship services—The Table at 9:30 a.m. featuring a casual praise band setting, and the Traditional Service at 11:00 a.m. with chancel choir and hymns—the church offers pathways for different worship preferences. Their comprehensive ministries include NextGen programs for children and youth, a weekly food pantry, partnerships with local schools, and disaster response teams serving communities across the South. The church provides care support through GriefShare and Stephen Ministry for those facing difficult life circumstances, and emphasizes that spiritual growth flourishes in smaller community groups where members learn Scripture together and support one another.
