About His House Christian Fellowship
His House Christian Fellowship is a vibrant college campus ministry with thirteen locations across Michigan, including a presence at major universities from the University of Michigan to Michigan Technological University. Founded in 1969 at Michigan State University by Gary Hawes, the ministry has grown from fifteen students to over fifteen hundred involved students across its campuses. His House exists to impact university campuses for the Gospel and cultivate world changers through intentional community, small group Bible studies, large group gatherings, mission trips, and service opportunities. The fellowship welcomes all students—traditional, commuter, non-traditional, graduate, and student-age young adults—to experience life-changing community centered on Jesus and meaningful spiritual growth. With campus houses, retreats held twice yearly, alternative spring break mission trips, and a summer international trip to Germany, His House provides comprehensive opportunities for students to deepen their faith while building lasting friendships. The ministry has baptized over thirty-five hundred students since its inception, reflecting its commitment to spiritual transformation during the formative college years.
