About North GEORGIA CHURCH OF GOD
North Georgia Church of God in Lawrenceville is part of a Spirit-empowered movement with deep roots in the region, tracing its heritage back to 1902 when a small gathering near McCaysville grew into one of the strongest Church of God membership bases in the continental United States, now encompassing over 280 churches and 115,000 members across North Georgia. The church is centered on Christ and committed to Pentecostal worship empowered by the Holy Spirit, with a focus on raising up disciples who transform their communities through love and truth. Their mission emphasizes prayer, worship, discipleship, and the planting of life-giving churches, while also prioritizing youth development, women's ministries, and leadership training. Visitors will find a diverse and unified congregation dedicated to both timeless biblical truth and relevant ministry for each generation, guided by the leadership of Bishop Terry and Ora Hart and supported by regional programs including marriage discipleship resources and practical ministry training through C2 Next Gen.
