About Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Patterson, Georgia, with both traditional and contemporary worship. The church began in 1931 when the D. J. Creech family moved to the area and helped organize a church, with Brother Lester Dixon serving as its first pastor. It adopted Baptist doctrines in 1936 and was named Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Its brick building was built in 1960 and dedicated in 1961, and the church has since added recreation areas, parking areas, utility buildings, a social hall, and a new sanctuary.
