About Wilmington Island United Methodist Church
Wilmington Island United Methodist Church, part of the Global Methodist denomination, is a theologically traditional congregation in the Wesleyan tradition located in Savannah, Georgia. The church's mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by inviting, incorporating, nurturing, and serving. Led by Pastor Doug Walker and his wife Lynn since June 2020, the church gathers Sunday mornings at 10:00 am for worship with Sunday school for all ages beginning at 9:00 am. The congregation is deeply rooted in Scripture and the classical Methodist understanding of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the sacraments of Baptism and Communion. Visitors are welcome to join the community as they worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly to their faith.
