About Encounter Church
Encounter Church in Bartlett is a contemporary congregation with Sunday worship and a Wednesday mid-week service. Its beliefs center on the Bible as the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and on one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The church teaches salvation through faith in Jesus and confession, with regeneration through the Holy Spirit. It practices water baptism by immersion for born-again believers and Holy Communion, and its beliefs include baptism in the Holy Spirit with the ability to speak in other tongues. Encounter Church also affirms five-fold ministry leadership through apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
