About Champaign Seventh-day Adventist Church
Champaign Seventh-day Adventist Church is a culturally diverse congregation serving the Champaign-Urbana community. Its local Adventist roots go back to nurses who came from the Battle Creek Sanitarium in the 1800s, and the congregation purchased its first official church building in the 1920s. The current building was built in the 1960s. Weekly gatherings include Sabbath School, the main Saturday worship service, Saturday evening vespers, and a Tuesday Bible study and prayer meeting. The church also offers small groups and live-streams sermons on its Facebook page. Pastor Eugene Preval serves as pastor.
