About Crerar Memorial Presbyterian
Crerar Memorial Presbyterian is a Presbyterian congregation in Chicago with roots in a mission work begun through Second Presbyterian Church. A committee recommended a new mission near 59th and Indiana in 1897, funded through the John Crerar Foundation of Second Presbyterian Church and named Crerar Chapel. The congregation says it has welcomed members from the surrounding community and beyond since 1908, when a new building was dedicated at 57th and Prairie Avenue. Lawrence A. Brown, C.P., serves as pastor. Sunday Morning Worship is at 11:00 AM, and the church states that Sunday services and Bible study are held virtually by conference call and Zoom.
