About Holy Name Cathedral
Holy Name Cathedral is a Catholic parish and the seat of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Known as the Mother Church for Chicago Catholics, it serves a central role in the life of the archdiocese as well as in the worshiping life of its parish community. The cathedral was dedicated on November 21, 1875, and is celebrating 150 years as the Cathedral. Its pastor is Blase Cardinal Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and its rector is the Very Rev. Gregory Sakowicz.
