About Mission of Our Lady of the Angels
Mission of Our Lady of the Angels establishes a Catholic presence in West Humboldt Park on Chicago’s west side. Housed in the buildings of the former Parish of Our Lady of the Angels, the Mission serves the neighborhood through prayer, outreach, and formation. It provides food to about 4,000 families each month and hosts 50–60 senior citizens each week for exercise, Bible study, lunch, and fellowship. Its youth outreach includes afterschool, evening, and summer programs for hundreds of young people. The Mission also hosts community dinners, retreats, street evangelization, Bible camps, and Eucharistic adoration.
