About United Methodist Home & Services
Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting older adults across Chicagoland through a comprehensive array of programs and services. Founded in 1898 by a Methodist woman and her church, CMSS has evolved to serve seniors through assisted living memory care at Hartwell Place, in-home care via SASI Home Care, intergenerational volunteer friendships through Senior Connections, affordable senior housing, a senior center in Bellwood, and specialized programming for LGBT+ older adults. Guided by a commitment to dignity, agency, and kindness, the organization places older adults at the heart of everything it does, helping them thrive and live their best lives possible in their homes and communities throughout Chicago and the northern suburbs.
