Sherman United Methodist Church is a historic African-American congregation located in Evanston, Illinois, founded in 1922 by Mrs. Lula B. Sherman. As the only historically African-American United Methodist congregation on the North Shore founded by a Black woman, the church serves the local community and has strong connections to educational institutions like Northwestern University and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
