What to Expect as a First-Time Visitor to Exodus Church in Springfield, Illinois

Dress Code: At Exodus Church, we have a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Feel free to come as you are - whether that's jeans and a t-shirt or something a bit dressier. The most important thing is that you come and join us in worshiping God.

Service Format: Our Sunday morning service starts promptly at 10:00 am and lasts around 60 minutes. Here's what you can expect:

- Gathering Music - As you arrive, enjoy some soft music to help you settle in and prepare your heart for worship.

- Call to Worship - We'll begin the service with Scripture and a call to lift our voices in praise to God.

- Worship through Song - Expect a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs, led by our talented music team. Don't be shy - join in as you feel comfortable!

- Prayer - We'll take time to pray together, lifting up the needs of our church, community, and world.

- Scripture Reading and Sermon - The centerpiece of our service is the reading and preaching of God's Word. Our pastor will deliver a biblical, Christ-centered message to encourage and challenge us.

- Communion - On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper together. All believers in Christ are welcome to participate.

- Offering - We give back to God a portion of what He has given us. Visitors are not expected to give.

Tips for Visitors: - Arrive a few minutes early to allow time for parking and getting settled. - Feel free to sit anywhere - there's no assigned seating. - Participate as much or as little as you're comfortable.
