About Southern Hills Church of Christ
Southern Hills Church of Christ is a Bloomington congregation in the Church of Christ tradition and part of the Restoration Movement. Its roots go back to 1923, when the 4th and Lincoln Church of Christ planted a congregation near the Indiana University campus known as Indiana Avenue Church. After Indiana University purchased that property in 2009, the church moved to Bloomington’s south side and became Southern Hills Church of Christ. The church offers children’s ministry and a youth group. Pat Arthur serves as Preaching Elder; Jim Buskirk, Phillip Jacobs, Clint Stickles, and Jeremy Schrader serve as elders; and Chad Weaver serves as a deacon.
