About First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church in Bremen began in 1939 as a Baptist church and today describes itself as technically independent, having never been part of a denomination. It is a close-knit, small rural congregation with people from a range of local backgrounds, including farmers, factory workers, retirees, law enforcement officers, and business professionals. The church emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the centrality of Jesus Christ for salvation, and the Bible as God’s accurate and applicable Word for daily living. Mike Henry serves as pastor, with Angela Henry also noted by the church; leadership team members include Chris Carothers, Paul Cordell, and Jeff Rimel.
