About White Chapel Church
White Chapel Church is a Methodist congregation in Carmel with deep roots in the community. Described as the oldest church in Hamilton County, it has served Carmel for more than 150 years. The church was completed in 1853, and the original congregation was Methodist. It is also noted as the only pioneer church still in existence in Clay Township. Today, White Chapel gathers for Sunday worship and a Wednesday evening Bible study, with children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups as part of its congregational life. A small cemetery sits next to the church.
