About Back Creek Friends Church

Back Creek Friends Church is an evangelical Friends congregation rooted in a rich heritage dating back to 1829, when Quaker settlers from North Carolina established the meeting along a creek they named after their former home. Located just north of Fairmount in Grant County, the church maintains its historic commitment to Christ-centered faith and community service while embracing modern approaches to worship and ministry. The pastoral team leads a warm, welcoming community that emphasizes loving God, loving others, reaching the lost, and making disciples. With a strong emphasis on family ministry, including children's church for ages five through twelve, youth group for grades seven through twelve, and infant care, Back Creek creates space for believers of all ages to grow in their faith. The church actively supports local and foreign missions, contributes significantly to a local food pantry, and invites all visitors to experience the fellowship and spiritual refreshment found in this close-knit congregation.
