About Beacon Light Community CRC
Beacon Light Community CRC is a mission-minded Christian Reformed congregation planted in the Black Oak neighborhood of Gary, Indiana, serving an ethnically diverse and economically challenged urban community. The church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and helping believers grow in spiritual maturity, while also pursuing the Great Commandment to love God and neighbor. Worship services are held Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., followed by children's and adult Sunday school at 11:15 a.m., with sermons available online for those unable to attend in person. As part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, Beacon Light is rooted in historic Christian creeds and Reformed theology, seeking to be an agent of transformation and hope in its community.
