About First Congregational UCC
First Congregational UCC is a United Church of Christ congregation in Indianapolis. The church describes itself as covenantal rather than creedal, and in 1994 the congregation voted to become Open and Affirming. Sunday worship follows a traditional pattern with hymns, vocal choir music, and organ, with occasional handbells or a jazz trio. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and all are welcome to participate. Adult Education is offered on Sunday mornings before worship, and the church also offers children’s ministry.
