About Dora Christian Church
Dora Christian Church is a historic Christian congregation in Lagro, Indiana, celebrating 155 years in the faith. Its church building began construction in 1871 and was completed in 1872. In 1962, the original building was moved to its present site because of the development of the Salamonie Reservoir and Dam, preserving an important part of the congregation’s history. The church teaches that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, and holds that baptism by immersion in water is required to receive forgiveness of sins and the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. Worship is held Sundays at 10:00 AM.
