About Trinity United Methodist Church
Trinity United Methodist Church has served the Madison, Indiana community since 1811, standing as a historic landmark near the Broadway Fountain in downtown Madison. The church is currently rebuilding following a fire in May 2026 that damaged the sanctuary's interior, though the iconic steeple and structure remain. Sunday worship services are held at 10 a.m., currently at North Madison UMC's fellowship hall while restoration efforts continue. Services are also broadcast on Facebook, WORX-FM, and WXGO-AM for those unable to attend in person. Trinity's mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, with a vision of being a family of disciples worshiping God, forming relationships through Christ, and engaging in Spirit-led service. The congregation welcomes visitors and invites them to join this historic faith community.
