About Milford First Brethren Church
Milford First Brethren Church is a Brethren congregation in Milford with roots in gatherings that began in early 1883. The church was organized in January 1885, and construction of its brick meeting house began in April 1886, with dedication that October. Over the years, the congregation has also been known as Progressive Brethren Church and Grace Brethren Church before becoming First Brethren Church of Milford. Its mission is to meet essential spiritual and material needs in the Milford community while supporting God’s Kingdom work around the world. The church emphasizes love for God and others, authentic discipleship, children’s ministry, and small groups. Lee Compson has served as pastor since 2013.
