About Muncie Mission
Muncie Mission is a faith-based organization dedicated to restoring hope and dignity to people in crisis throughout East Central Indiana. Founded in 1930 during the Great Depression by Rev. Eddie Thomas as a soup kitchen, the Mission has grown into a comprehensive ministry offering emergency shelter, addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, family services, medical clinics, and community outreach. The organization operates multiple programs including men's emergency shelter, the Beauty for Ashes women's recovery home, The Muncie Hub community center, and thrift stores that fund their services. Rooted in Christian faith and Scripture-informed counsel, Muncie Mission serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness, addiction, and poverty with compassion, practical support, and spiritual guidance to help them discover a path toward flourishing.
