About Shepherd by The Lakes Luthern Church
Shepherd by the Lakes Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod located in Syracuse, Indiana, began as a mission effort in 1992 and was officially received into the LCMS in 1994. The church has grown from its initial nine members to a vibrant community of 145 baptized believers. The congregation worships in a sanctuary dedicated in 2009 following a significant expansion project. Shepherd by the Lakes is committed to promoting the pure Gospel and Sacraments in accord with the Bible and Lutheran Confessions, while creating opportunities to minister to neighbors and build up the Body of Christ in faith, word, and deed throughout northeast Kosciusko County and beyond.
