About First Brethren Church
First Brethren Church in Warsaw is part of The Brethren Church, a tradition that traces the Brethren movement to Germany in 1708. The congregation’s teaching emphasizes Scripture, described in its own words as “the Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible,” and the church identifies as non-creedal. Its Brethren practices include trine immersion believer baptism and threefold communion, and church decisions are made through consensus. Pastor Bruce Wells serves with Linda Wells. Sunday mornings include coffee and fellowship, Sunday School, and a worship service, with Bible study on Wednesday evenings.
