About Collegiate Presbyterian Church
Collegiate/Wesley is an inclusive Presbyterian and Methodist community of faith in Ames, Iowa, dedicated to welcoming all people regardless of background, identity, or belief stage. Founded in 1916 by an ISU student seeking campus ministry, the church has grown into a thoughtful congregation that celebrates curiosity, compassion, and conviction. Services blend traditional elements like scripture, prayer, and music with contemporary dialogue and connection. The community emphasizes honest exploration of faith, affirming all persons without exception, and living out love through service projects like Food at First and Clothing That Works. Visitors are invited to come as they are on Sunday mornings, join Wednesday night meals during the school year, and participate in small groups and volunteer opportunities.
