About Lutheran Campus Ministry at ISU - ELCA
Lutheran Campus Ministry at Iowa State University in Ames is a welcoming community dedicated to extending community, engaging faith, and empowering relationships among students. Under the leadership of Pastor AJ, LCM-Ames serves as a place of welcome, grounding, and support for Iowa State students navigating the transitions and growth of college life. The ministry supports students' spiritual lives through worship, conversation, prayer, and accompaniment, while also addressing practical needs that arise during their academic journey. Recently awarded an ELCA Strategic Ministry Grant, the community is actively rebuilding and reestablishing regular ministry on campus, with plans to incorporate Holden Evening Prayer as part of ongoing programming. LCM-Ames emphasizes an open and welcoming environment rooted in the expansive love of God, inviting both returning and incoming students to find healing, belonging, and spiritual growth.
