Resurrection Lutheran Church is a welcoming congregation in Ankeny, Iowa, rooted in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America tradition. Founded as a mission church in 1978, the congregation began meeting in the Ankeny Theater before building its sanctuary in 1979 and expanding over the decades. The church emphasizes God's transforming grace and welcomes all people regardless of background, identity, or beliefs. Grounded in Christ-centered learning, compassionate community, and faithful worship, Resurrection Lutheran actively serves Central Iowa and beyond through anti-hunger and anti-racism initiatives, support for immigrant families, and community gardening programs.
