About Badger Lutheran Church
Badger Lutheran Church is a small-town congregation rooted in Norwegian Lutheran heritage dating back over 150 years to the pioneers who settled the Iowa prairie. The church building itself, dedicated in 1949, reflects the church's evolution from its early log cabin beginnings. Led by Pastor Scott, a former biologist who answered a call to ministry, the congregation embraces a mission to reach up in worship to God, reach in to build relationships with fellow Christians, and reach out to serve the community and world. Affiliated with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), Badger Lutheran emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the centrality of grace through faith in Christ alone, and the real presence of Christ in Holy Communion. Visitors of all ages are warmly welcomed to join Sunday worship and weekly activities, with opportunities to deepen their faith through study, prayer, and service to neighbors.
