About First Church of Nazarene
First Church of the Nazarene in Burlington traces its beginning to an evangelistic tent meeting in the late summer of 1935, when the church was organized with 32 charter members. The congregation met for many years at 7th and Washington Streets before moving in 1968 to newly built facilities on South Roosevelt Avenue. Its mission is to help people in need and share the love of Jesus locally and around the world. Church life includes Sunday worship at 10:45 AM, small groups, free clothing and food ministries, and a summer sweet corn sale that supports mission projects.
