About Calvary Chapel
Calvary Community Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is a Bible-believing congregation with a rich history dating back to its founding in August 2009 by Pastor Jeremy Higgins and his wife Brooke. The church offers two Sunday worship services—a Traditional service at 8:30 AM and a Contemporary service at 10:30 AM—both featuring Spirit-filled, Christ-centered teaching that is verse-by-verse, Bible-based, and applicable to daily living. Beyond Sunday worship, Calvary Community Church provides numerous ministries including men's, women's, young adult, and children's programs, as well as growth groups that meet on the first and third Sunday nights of the month for fellowship and spiritual conversation. The church has expanded its impact through Calvary Christian Preschool & Daycare, Enduring Word Radio, and Calvary Christian Academy, demonstrating its commitment to reaching, teaching, mending, and sending within the community.
