About Sherwood Community Church
Sherwood Community Church, known as Citylight Council Bluffs, is a non-denominational congregation located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. The church gathers on Sundays at 9 AM and 11 AM to celebrate Jesus, worship together, and study Scripture, with the mission of multiplying disciples and churches throughout the region. Beyond Sunday services, the community extends into City Groups—small to mid-sized communities meeting throughout the week to grow in faith, study the Bible, and serve specific neighborhoods. The church provides Citylight Kids, a children's ministry for ages 8 weeks through 5th grade, while welcoming children of all ages into worship.
