About Presbytery of East Iowa
The Presbytery of East Iowa is a regional governing body representing 62 Presbyterian congregations across Iowa City and the surrounding region. As part of the Presbyterian Church USA tradition, the Presbytery exists to connect disciples of Jesus Christ so that ministry thrives through seven core values: trust, acceptance, community, collaboration, imagination, energy, and justice. The organization prioritizes congregational vitality, leadership development, and building bridges across faith communities to address issues affecting the areas they serve. Guided by a vision of covenant community and servant leadership, the Presbytery meets five times yearly and works remotely from Coralville to equip churches with resources and strategies for sharing God's love in their neighborhoods and beyond.
