Leighton Christian Reformed Church is a small, rural congregation located just south of Highway 163 between Pella and Oskaloosa, Iowa. Established in 1893, the church has served its community for over 125 years and currently has approximately 60 members with 40–50 people regularly attending both morning and evening Sunday services. In addition to its twice-weekly Sunday worship, the church hosts active Wednesday night ministries including GEMS for girls in grades 2–8 and the Calvinist Cadet Corps for boys, along with women's Bible study groups that meet twice monthly. The congregation emphasizes biblical study and fellowship, with recent sermon series focusing on themes such as Advent preparation and the Gospel of Mark. Visitors are warmly invited to participate in worship and the various community activities that reflect the church's commitment to discipleship and mutual encouragement.
