About Redeemer Lutheran Church
Redeemer Lutheran Church is an LCMS congregation established in 1926 in Marshalltown, Iowa, dedicated to preaching the love of the Triune God and the Gospel of grace, faith, and Scripture alone. The church welcomes visitors to experience traditional Lutheran worship and join a vibrant community engaged in Bible study, youth programs, and service to the surrounding area. With Sunday Divine Services at 9 a.m., Wednesday evening worship, and numerous fellowship gatherings featuring food and community, Redeemer offers both spiritual nourishment and meaningful connections. The congregation emphasizes stewardship, volunteers at the House of Compassion and other charities, and provides Sunday School and catechesis for children. Dress Code: Nice attire is encouraged, but visitors are welcomed as they are. Service Format: Traditional Lutheran Divine Service following the Lutheran Service Book, lasting between one hour to an hour and fifteen minutes, with Communion offered on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sundays. Visitor Tips: Hymnals (dark burgundy Lutheran Service Books) are in the pews, bulletins are available at the entrance, closed communion is practiced so non-LCMS members should speak with the pastor beforehand, and fellowship with donuts follows services in the fellowship hall with no RSVP needed.
