The Baptist Convention of Iowa is a partnership of over 120 churches and approximately 30,000 worshipers united across the state to fulfill the Great Commission. Established in 1995, BCI represents a collaborative effort rooted in decades of faithful Baptist ministry throughout Iowa. The convention works to help church leaders multiply disciples, churches, and mission through shared resources, training, and mutual support. As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, BCI maintains doctrinal alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message and directs 60 percent of cooperative program funds to national SBC entities while reinvesting the remainder in church strengthening and multiplication efforts within Iowa.
