About New Hope Assembly of God
New Hope Assembly of God is a welcoming, multigenerational and multicultural congregation located in Urbandale, Iowa. The church describes itself as being on a mission to go to Heaven and take as many with us as possible, creating a friendly environment where visitors are genuinely greeted and cared for. Sunday worship is offered in two formats—a blended service at 8:30 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11:00 a.m.—along with evening worship and comprehensive children's ministries for all ages. The church features a blend of contemporary worship choruses with traditional and modern hymns, Bible-based messages with practical application, and various midweek classes and activities for adults, youth, and kids.

Dress Code: Come dressed the way you feel comfortable; New Hope's focus is on a person's heart, not outward appearance. Service Format: Services open with corporate songs of worship and praise to God, followed by greetings, announcements, and offerings, then a sermon from one of the rotating pastors, concluding with prayer and worship. Music blends contemporary worship choruses with traditional and modern hymns using a variety of instruments. Visitor Tips: Everyone is warmly greeted at the door; stop by the Welcome Center for a gift and fill out a Connect card so pastors can get to know you. Visitors are not expected to partake in the offering. Children have age-appropriate services (NHkids for K-5th grade and NHtots for birth-preschool) during Sunday services.
