About Waukee Community Church
Waukee Community Church is a non-denominational congregation located in Waukee, Iowa, that has been serving the western Des Moines suburbs since its founding in 2005. Born from a vision shared over lunch at a local diner, the church was planted by Valley Church with an initial group of 50 people and held its first public worship service on Palm Sunday 2005. Under the pastoral leadership of David Brooks, WCC has grown significantly and now occupies a full facility at 215 North Warrior Lane, completed through three phases of expansion culminating in 2023. The church's mission centers on helping people "live like Jesus, love like Jesus, and give like Jesus," emphasizing authentic discipleship, transformational relationships, and bold community engagement. WCC is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America and maintains a strong commitment to biblical teaching, grace-filled authenticity, and steadfast dependence on God in all its ministries.
