About Victory Baptist Church
Victory Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist congregation in Osawatomie, Kansas, with a traditional worship style. The church was chartered in 1981 after 52 people began meeting in the home of Bill and Thelma Pingry. Its first pastor was Glenn Layton. Over the years, the congregation moved from the J. C. Penney building to a purchased building, and later converted the former Trojan Lanes into its current church building. Tim Lewallen has served as senior pastor since 2015. Sunday gatherings include Sunday School, a morning worship service, and an evening service, with a midweek Bible study on Wednesday.
