About Holy Cross Lutheran Church
Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Overland Park is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Its mission is to welcome all people, grow in faith, and share God’s love. The congregation began when Pastor Mark Walters started inviting people to a new Lutheran community in July 1987, and Holy Cross officially became an ELCA congregation in 1989. The church invites participants to become “Mission Partners” rather than members. Worship is offered in both traditional and modern styles, and the church has children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups.
