About Guthrie Church Of Christ
Guthrie Church of Christ is a Church of Christ congregation in Guthrie, Kentucky, with traditional worship. The congregation connects its faith heritage to the church established on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 and traces its local beginning to a tent meeting in September 1947 sponsored by the Clarksville Church. Later that year, the congregation purchased a private dwelling, and in August 1960 it moved to new quarters. A lot on West Park Street was also purchased for a more suitable building. Glenn M. Lee served as the first full-time preacher, and the congregation’s history includes a long record of preachers, including John Boyles from 1981 to 1989.
