About Christian Assembly Church
Christian Assembly Church in Louisville has roots reaching back to 1927, when tent meetings were held at 27th and Northwestern Parkway. The church moved to its current facility in the 1980s and describes itself as Holy Spirit-filled, with beginnings in Pentecost. While identified here with the Assemblies of God tradition, the church describes itself as nondenominational and connected with sister assemblies throughout the world. Its stated aim is to build a 1st-century church in a 21st-century world, with an emphasis on the restoration of order in worship and doctrine.
