About Locust Grove Baptist Church
Locust Grove Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Murray, Kentucky, with roots dating back to 1841, when it was founded by 21 faithful believers. The church first met in a community meetinghouse known as Locusgrove Meetinghouse and built its first church house in 1859. After a fire destroyed the building on April 16, 1950, the congregation dedicated a new church building on the fifth Sunday of November 1953. Today, Locust Grove continues its long history with Sunday School, Sunday worship, Wednesday Bible study, and ministries for children and youth.
